BARCELONA GIRONA - GRO - AIRPORT TRANSPORT INFORMATION (103KM NORTH EAST OF BARCELONA) Church of the Sacred Family, Barcelona

The Barcelona Bus is the most convenient mode of transport between the airport and the centre of Barcelona. This company is unconnected to Ryanair but is timetabled to link with Ryanair arrivals and departures. The bus stops right outside the airport and will take you to Estacio d' Autobusos Barcelona Nord (Barcelona's main bus terminal) in Barcelona city centre - 1 hour, 20 minutes. Note that the Metro Arc de Triomphe is 5-10 minutes walk from the bus station (leave by the exit called Sortida Napols.) Watch out - there is a 2nd Barcelona Bus that links Girona town centre with Barcelona.

There are also buses running to the Costa Brava resorts (run by Sarfa.) Costa Brava North links the airport with the towns of Figueres, Empuriabrava and Roses. Costa Brava South links the airport with the coastal towns of Lloret de Mar, Blanes, Malgrat de Mar, Santa Susanna, Pineda de Mar, Calella de la Costa and Tossa de Mar.

A train runs between Girona town centre and Barcelona Sants - 1 hour, 10 minutes. You can take a bus or a taxi between the airport and the centre of Girona - give yourself an extra half hour.

With it being over 100km, taxis between the airport and Barcelona are obviously going to be a pretty expensive option.
